I've just uploaded a new avatar which is supposed to be animated. However it's not animated when I view it
I have uploaded it to MSE from my computer, what am I doing wrong?

Although put rather abrasively Lord_Chris is right.
Many questions asked have already been answered Use of the Search facility should be encouraged. Only when updated answers to previous threads are necessary should a new post be required.
Hopefully, you have what you need, if not post back and we'll see what we can do.0 -

Yes I am aware of the search facility and usually make good use of it. When I posted the question last night I was 'tired and emotional' and fed up after spending over an hour trying to get the avatar to 'animate'. I followed the instructions in the linked thread and still got nowhere - said 'animated' avatar has now been consigned to the recycle binFB :heartpuls Wiggly

Personally I'd like to see them banned, or at least give the user the option to switch them off.
Some of them are highly distracting and in poor taste to say the least. Just how many times do you want to see a mouse humping a mouse before the joke wears thin.0 -

Even better! I quite like the avatars. My fav was the Quincy avatar from Medical Examiner which he sadly isn't using any more.
Annoying mouse-humping-mouse image permanently blocked - good riddance!0 -

I think outside the box - I can also think round corners.0
