Hi David
Are you saying windows will not shutdown even if you go to start > Turn Off Computer > Turn Off ?
You can do a forced shutdown by typing shutdown -s -f into the Start > Run box.0 -
stll shuts down that way but still have widows message saying click here to update, windows will auto shut down. but doesnt thanks0

Have you tried to remove the windows update? It could be that you have a corrupted update causing the problem.Old Faithful we roam the range together,

Depends on your version of windows of course, Im on windows 7 and you go into add or remove programs then to installed updates and you can remove it from there. If you can I would remove the updates, restart and then update again.Old Faithful we roam the range together,

How long are you waiting to see if it shuts down, some updates can take a while to do, especially on slower computers.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
