Is it just me, or does p*ss poor customer service get your goat too?
I took out a contract with a new phone on Vodafone's website on Sunday. I arranged to have the phone delivered to the local Vodafone store as I work full time and it was more convenient for me to pick it up after work rather than have to drive 20 miles to the depot to collect it.
No problems so far.
I got an email from Vodafone on Monday saying the phone had shipped and would be delivered the next morning to the store, and would be available for me to pick up from 1pm.
So I went in and was told the phone had arrived but they couldn't release it to me as they were waiting for an email to come from Vodafone. I was told to go back at 5pm, which I did, and was told again that the email had not come through and that I must now wait for them to ring me to tell me when to go and collect it.
I wasn't asked for any ID (although I took it with me).
So I asked the assistant when I could expect a call and she just looked at me and apologised and said there was nothing she could do.
Eh?
If I'd have had the phone sent to my home address there wouldn't have been a problem.
(I still haven't received the phone call by the way).
What sort of a business are these morons trying to run?

Hi staffie1,
I'm sorry to hear that you were having problems picking up your new phone. Could you let me know whether you have been successful in collecting it now?
If you would like any further help with the matter then we will be happy to look into it for you.
Thanks,
Espi
