Thanks everyone. :T
We are restricted to using those approved by the venue - for complicated noise level issues! I will wait til I have quotes from the other 2 and then decide. Although I am leaning towards the original one at the moment as he appears to be the most experienced and professional.Declutter 100 items in Jan 11/1000 -

I could have got a cheaper one but the one I'm having is very experienced at my venue so I'd rather go for that

Ours is a local radio DJ! lol He's on every weekday adn said he'd do our wedding for £180 which is a bargain. He's the sort that will get everyone involved as well and have a laugh, Chris Moyles type lol.Best Moneysaver...Starting my own Business!

Thats a decent deal (says the OH whos did Disco's for weddings and such for 8 years).
Though it also depends on what disco gear he has

We used the resident DJ he was fine, knew the wedding vibe (NO LADY IN RED, my insistance, even if someone asked for it!!!!) - we provided a list of 25 songs that must be in there somewhere incl 1st and last dances and laid the rest open to requests - the hotel had wifi and any obscure requests (it was an eclectic guest list) were soon located online and payed - we paid £180 from 7pm until midnight0

£350 doesnt sound too bad too be honest
Ours is gonna cost about £250, for hire of their equipment, lights, mics for the PA etc from 4PM till 12.
Its a team of 3-4 DJ's who play all styles of music and play the proper "DJ" way with cd mixer decks and mixing software on laptops.
None of this load 200 tracks on a laptop and let it play all night which too me is not DJing !!"One Man Can Make A difference" Michael Knight KNIGHTRIDER0 -
We're not having one - mainly from my fear of cheesy crappy music that they all seem to be obsessed with, but also because we're not having an evening "do" as such (we don't have a huge social circle where the wedding's taking place to invite to one, oh never dances, I have to be horrendously drunk to dance) - so we're planning on loading up a laptop playlist, with some decent PC speakers and just having that as background music for the meal.
Of course - one of the jobs for this weekend is to sort out said playlist which will involve fisticuffs and possibly a pre-wedding divorce as oh is firmly a radio 2 chap, and I'm most distinctly a radio 1 gal.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Ours is about £275 for evening only but we live in an expensive part of the world, that's only to be expected. Could have gone with a mates rates type but i'd rather have the comeback if something goes wrong!0
