I use Eset Smart Security 4, simply because it is one of the lightest AV suites going and thus has hardly any performance hit on the computer, and also has one of the best detection rates. Though a single user licence is expensive compared to others like Kaspersky.
For free I would use Microsoft Security Essentials which is also very light and good detection rates or Avast.0
