Yes exactly, a nice letter to them by recorded delivery explaining that you think that what they have done has been unreasonable and you are considering taking the matter up with the SFA0

Usually what you do is write to them asking for a copy of the original agreement if you do not have a copy. Give them 12 days to comply and send 1.00 off to cover the cost.
Then write a letter of complaint using the template on this site but using your own words. Give them 8 weeks to reply. Send by recorded delivery.
If they do not agree and give you a Final Response you can then take the matter to the FOS. Financial Ombudsman Service. If you take it to the FOS although this is a free service it can take upto 2 years to get a decision.
