Quickest way to get numberplate onto retention
Options
Hi everyone,
Another quick question for you. I've been on the phone to DVLA (on hold) for 10 minutes now and I'm loosing the will to live.
I've got someone that is interested in my car coming to view it tomorrow. They are coming with the intention of taking it away there and then. What I would like to know is, I have a private plate on it at the moment, what is the quickest way to get it put onto retention? Is it possible to go to my local DVLA office (Northampton) and get it put onto retention there and then?
Thanks everyone

I would put the car sale on hold if you want to keep your number, DVLA do not move that quickly.0

Will this pontential buyer be paying cash? If not, do not let them drive away the car, even if they have given you a banker's draft."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
