Hi Im a bit of a novice at this and had some great advice from this site but never offer advice to anyone else.

I wanted everyone to know that there are huge saving available to people that work for particular companies. Heres my story.

I was looking to buy a new Astra 14 Active (the Old Model) and searched the web for the best deal i looked at autoquake broadspeed and a number of others reccomended on this site, and i must admit the saving were huge. But before i bought i wanted to drive the car. So i went to my local dealer in Cambridge who took me out on a drive and priced my part exchange. I asked them for their best price and it was £1800 more expensive than from car quake. However I told the sales consultant the price i had got from the net and asked if he could match it ? His reply was maybe, he then asked who i worked for ? I didnt know why he asked the question but he explained that employees of certain companies got preferential rates from Vauxhall. It turned out that because i worked for Tesco's I qualified for massive discount and saved £500 more than Car quake!!!! Im now the very happy owner of a New Astra. Since then i have found out that Asda, John Lewis, Waitrose, Marks and spencer and all Unison members and their families qualify for this great deal. I dont know if im allowed to name the dealer on this forum but they were fantastic. I won't name them but they are in Cambridge. and the Salesmans name was David.

The point i wanted to make is that my employer didnt make me aware of the great offer and i wondered if other people were aware of these offers?:j:T:rotfl::beer:
