I only have Works on my computer and often I need to send documents to people who have word. Open Office word processor seemed a god send for me to do this but Kaspersky isnt happy about it. Every time it scans it tells me that there are very dangerous vulnerabilities on the OO program.

Ive ignored this as I thought it was may be being OTT but last week I had my credit card info used on line  - including someone changing my Verify Vista password..

Since then Im being ultra careful (I thought I was always careful). Kaspersky says the solution is to download the 3.2 version of OO but when I do this it wont install.

I only need the word processor facility,. Can anyone advise please.

where did you download OO from? openoffice.org ?

It is a coincidence as Kaspersky is reporting a false positive and is documented in the Sun (not the newspaper!) website:

    and here:
