The only Ikea I know of in the west Midlands is good half hours drive from the NEC. Its at Wednesbury, Junction 9 of the M6, whereas NEC is Junction 4a, M6. Obviously depending on when you would be travelling it could take you a lot longer to get through Birmingham on the motorway.

Yeah the only ikea is in wednesbury and can be a nightmare to get to, theres an ikea in coventry might be easier to get to?

The nearest IKEA to the NEC is in Coventry.

Coventry Ring Road is a bit difficult to navigate but if you follow the signs to IKEA Plaza you will find the car park. It`s in the city centre.

Thanks guys..so is Coventry easier or nearer?! guess the easier to get to the better really so long as it's not miles difference as we are rubbish sat nav followers lol.

the journey between the NEC and IKEA at Wednesbury is easy - M42 to M6 north, come off at junction 9, take first left and follow the signs.

I agree the Wednesbury IKEA is easy to get to :)I have been to the Coventry IKEA and its a pain to get to, you have to pay for parking (although if you spend money in IKEA you get this back).I also prefer the layout etc of the Wednesbury Ikea.Hope this helps

oh tried to take me there twice before we found it, dont know why it was so difficult as it seemed so obvious when we got there:o

Thanks will go for the wednesbury one then! Tbh the only other one i have been to is Bristol..went with dh and we got very lost..went with my friend and we got very very lost..the time with my sister..yeah you guessed it lost!! the next time poss with her i think was ok..may have got them muddled but basically it's always a nightmare for us to find! god knows why dh has suggested it but i do LOVE Ikea!
