MBNA PPI Advice over the phone

Hi
but of advice please - I am trying to claim approximately £2700 from MBNA for Mis-sold PPI from '98-'05.
They have returned a copy of my application stating that as it was a direct mail piece, no sales person was present.
However, I distincly remember calling their 'helpline' firstly to ask what my credit limit would be (they didn't know) and secondly if I needed to tick the (payment cover) boxes. I was told to tick the boxes for protection of my credit card payments, and so i did.
This may seem wildy naive, (I was only 21!) but I never questioned it, and carried on paying this charge when it appeared on my statements.
Is it worth my contacting them again to explain the call? perhaps they have a record of it... and if they still refuse, is it worth takin gto the FSO? I feel like they took full advantage of my youth and financial naivety...
thanks!

Hmmmm you could give it a go but it sounds as if you ticked it of your own free will after ringing them up and asking.
You could write to them stating this. I do not think you will be successful but good luck.:mad:0 -

I wrote back to them, said I wasn't happy and guess what - I got a letter today saying they will offer me £1400 as a goodwill gesture! That'll do me!:D0 -
