Entry

Entrants must be UK residents aged 16 or over. Winners under 18 must obtain consent from their parent or guardian before the trip can be claimed.
Visit http://www.quackyraces.com/ and then follow the entry instructions before the Closing Date.
Participants can create their own duck. They will need to love, feed, and sleep the duck to make it go faster in a virtual race around the world. The participant must choose the correct levels of love, food and sleep for the duck. In order to make the duck travel at optimum speed the participant must get the combination of love, food and sleep as close as possible to the duck’s needs. There are three stages of the race, and each time the duck reaches a stage the participant will receive an email postcard from the duck which will contain an update of how the duck is doing. The duck’s needs will change after each postcard, the participant must amend the levels of love, food and sleep after each postcard to ensure the duck travels at optimum speed. The participant with the shortest race time at the end of the campaign period will win the prize.

Prize

A round the world trip for 2 plus £1000 spending money or £5,000 in the form of a cheque. Winners will be contacted by email and will be required to respond to O2 within 72 hours to claim their prize.
Included in the prize:

• Return economy flights for two travellers (one winner plus one companion) from the UK to the winners chosen number of destinations
• All elements of the prize including: travel/accommodation/insurance cannot exceed the value of £5000 for both travellers
• The winner will have £1,000 spending money if they elect to take the round the world trip.
• The prize is to be booked for the winner after the competition has ended and will be booked according to their preferences, within the specified £5,000 prize fund
• All travel must be taken in one direction i.e. UK– USA - Australia - India – UK
• The total duration of the trip must not exceed 3 months unless agreed at booking stage
• If the winner chooses to take part of the prize fund as spending money this will be provided either by personal cheque or from a bank transfer into the winner's account, but will come out of the total prize fund of £5,000
• All travel must be completed by 30th June 2011 and excludes departure on Christmas day, New Years day and any UK bank holidays, unless agreed at booking stage
• All fights / accommodation to be booked a minimum of 8 weeks before travel date, unless agreed at booking stage
• The winner, or their companion, must be over the age of 18. Anybody under 18 will need to obtain consent from a parent/guardian to claim the prize
• Travel insurance will be obtained for the winner when the details of the prize are confirmed, this will have certain exclusions which will be explained to the winner at the point of booking
• The winner can choose to take the value of the prize instead of the round the world trip which would equate to £6,000.

Not included in the prize:

• all food / drink and entertainment on the trip
• any costs incurred on the trip
• arrangement of required visas for travelling to certain countries, O2 agents will provide assistance and advise in obtaining all necessary visas but the prize winner must apply for them directly and may need to attend an interview depending on the location

All logistics of the prize are to be handled by O2's appointed agents.


Terms And Conditions

1. This competition is open to UK residents aged 16 or over. No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. O2 reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. O2 may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entry and the prize may be withheld until and unless O2 is satisfied with the verification.
2. Entries not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid.
3. The competition runs during the above specified dates until the specified Closing Date. Entries received after this date and time will not be entered into the competition.
4. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms & conditions of this competition, and in the event of a conflict, these terms & conditions take precedence.
5. The winner will be notified within a reasonable time after the date that the winner is determined, or any subsequent draw either by email, mail or telephone. The prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance within 72 hours of being offered the prize and if a winner is unable to be contacted after a reasonable period or if any prize is unclaimed or declined within a reasonable period, the prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplementary winner may be drawn at O2's discretion.
6. O2 will not be responsible for any inability of a prize winner to take up the specified prize.
7. O2 reserves the right to provide substitute prize(s) of similar value should the specified prize(s) become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered. None of the prizes are transferable. Events may occasionally be cancelled for reasons outside O2’s control. O2 will endeavour to promptly update any relevant information but cannot issue refunds for texts sent or calls made before this occurs (where applicable). O2 will not be liable for any change of date or venue or cancellation of any event.
8. Travel must be taken in before 30th June 2011. Availability of the winner’s chosen dates cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability of flights. Available dates exclude Easter, Christmas & New Year, and all bank holiday periods. Instructions on how to book will be provided to the winners and the winners are each responsible for following those instructions.
9. Travel insurance is provided as long as the winner and guest have no previous health conditions. The winner and their guest are responsible for checking whether this insurance is sufficient for their needs, and for arranging and paying for a suitable alternative if it is not.
10. The winner and their guest are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport and any visas necessary to take their prize. No contribution toward passport or visa cost is included in the prize. Travel to and from any airports will be the responsibility of the winner and at the winners’ expense, as are all meals and drinks.
11. Any images created must not contain material which is copyrighted or features predominantly or solely a trademark or logo not owned or licensed by the participant and not contain material which is potentially offensive (including, but not limited to, because it is adult in nature), defamatory or in any way derogatory about O2, or any other third party connected in any way or be otherwise objectionable.
12. O2 accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, lost or delayed entries, notices, acceptances, tickets or other documents related to the Prize(s).
13. Entrants will be disqualified in the event that O2 reasonably believes that participation has been dishonest or fraudulent, and/or not in accordance with these terms or the rules provided.
14. In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of this competition, including the allocation of more prizes than are available, O2 reserves the right to end or suspend the competition; amend these terms & conditions; declare void the notification of winner(s); and/or to allocate available prizes by conducting a simple draw from all wrongly allocated winners.
15. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
16. The winner(s) may be required to participate in publicity connected with this competition and it is a condition of entry that the winner(s) agree to their name and country of residence being made publicly available if they win.
17. The names of the major winner(s) may be obtained by sending a signed handwritten request along with a stamped self-addressed envelope detailing your request to the Marketing Team, Telef!nica O2 UK Limited, 260 Bath Road, Slough SL1 4DX, and marked with the name of the competition – O2 Quacky Races competition.
18. Entrants’ data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing this competition. If a prize includes tickets to an event then for the purpose of administering the ticket allocation, O2 reserves the right to exchange information and data regarding tickets and applications with third party ticket providers and/or service providers.
19. O2’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. O2 reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion and/or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part in the promotion subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
21. This promotion is governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
22. The promoter of this competition is Telef!nica O2 UK Limited, 260 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 4DX (“O2”).

Thanks, still will not work for me with that link. I do have adobe installed and dh just checked it on his computer and cannot get in. Think I will try again tomorrow.
