Block Exemption - looking good...

It looks like it will be even better than before - and competition will be fierce - and the consumer will come out of this very well!

Reading that all through, it looks like the proposals are going to make it alot easier to obtain techical and diagnostic information for all, which is great news for the independents and of course, all our customers - as it will save them so much money!
We had to refer a customers car to a main dealer today and that hurt, and will in turn, hurt the customers pocket big time.
Competition is going to be really good! Very healthy for all our pockets!Genie

Isn't that just a wish list?0

I mean it's a list of wishes from the international federation of independent distributors of automotive replacement parts, supported by the Automotive Aftermarket Liaison Group. So they'll all throw as many demands as possible into the mix. What gets passed at the end of the day will be contested by all the manufacturers lobby groups, so I would assume their list would be empty. The actual BER you would expect to be somewhere in the middle.0

I think that they have to, and will, tighten up all the loose ends that have created all the loop holes and am glad that it has been pointed out to the EU commission so clearly.
Its all a big deal, after all, it's not all about cars, the Block Exemption covers pretty much everything... appliances etc. I just hope that we end up having the freedom that Japan and the US have had for many years. And I really wish that everyone knew about it! The media say very very little, always have done.
I'd hoped that Martin would have done something - he said he would and I may have missed it - and apologise if I have! I don't get the time that I used to have to come on here so often! B*mmer!Genie
