Just to add to todays entry on this subject - for those using Windows Vista "defragging" can be scheduled to run at any time of day on a daily / weekly/monthly basis of your choosing. Although it does take a while you can have this set to run in the early hours of the morning or at a time when you don't actually use the PC - defragging doesn't prevent you from using the PC as it will run in the background

And how much difference in speed will the average user notice in day to day use? Isn't defragging in Vista and Windows 7 set to run anyway as a default?
There have been lots of threads about this in the past BTW.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
