Hi all,
Please be gentle as this is my first post, I'm in a bit of a pickle with a bed company called discountbedframesdirect.co.uk after recently purchasing a new bedframe.
On their site i understand that it clearly states you must inspect the item before sigining on delivery, but after opening all of the packages after the driver yesterday left i've discovered there is a rip in the headboard!!
I presume they expect you to check everything, however the bed came flat packed in 3 different packages which even the driver could not lift on his own and my wife was at home on her own with our young baby so could not open all of the packages and inspect every piece!!
i have tried to call the number on the website however this is an automated sales number only and they seem to have no customer service or aftersales as such.
Ive left answerphone messages and sent a message to them via their website however i've had no reply as yet, i know its only a day but i know its in my own interests to report this as early as possible.
Can they not offer a replacement purely on the basis of the statement on their website?
Please, if i had any hair i'd be tearing it out right now!!!

No, they cannot.
Your rights under distance selling regulations entitle you to return the item for any reason providing you notify them within 7 days of delivery.0 -
Thanks for that Beast, i have seen that on some websites but i wasnt sure whether what their terms of delivery state would be legal or not but i am having a game getting hold of them!!!0
