HTC Hero - Market Problem

Hi all,

I have upgraded my HTC Hero with the newest ROM and I do have some difficulties since I have reinstalled most of my SW and Apps.

Certain paid application (ie Silent time, Themes etc) do not appear on the market anymore. They are also not in "my downloads".

I have been looking through the Internet and it seems that I am not the only one, with the problem, however I wasnt able to find a solution anymore.

As for Silent time: I even went on their Homepage and scanned the code, but the system doesnt find the App.

Can someone help?

I recently found the same thing, some free apps changed to pay only apps or are only available in USA.

I think you need to wait for them to be released on the UK / European market.

Send me a PM and I will send you a link to a website (I cannot post links on here yet!) that may have the applications you are looking for, just download the apk file to your memory card and install it from there.

I recently upgraded from the Hero to the Nexus One... muuucch faster and and amazing phone (wife now has the hero) but miss the HTC Hero Sense UI...

I'm just glad the majority of apps for Android are still free.

I looked on the Apple store and couldn't hardly anything which didn't require paying for.

I dont think thats the problem, because i downloaded MyBackup Pro yesterday and about 30 minutes later I restored my data and in between the app is not available anymore? I highly doubt so!

Maybe its not available for the version of Hero you upgraded it to. I am sure if this is the case then eventually it will be recompiled and updated and available in the Market again.

Market place may match software to versions of your device and only show the relevant ones.

Another thing to try is to go to your settings->Applications (I think) and check settings. If I remember there is a setting that sllows you to download non-approved software. see if this makes a difference.
