    That's dedication..a total workout!!!

Am fine thanks...feeling a bit fed up tonight though.

    Hi Taxi,

Sorry to hear you were fed up last night... thats probably to be expected though. You have been doing brilliantly, you are certainly a woman of courage.

I have been crying a bit this morning. Tears of pure frustration and boredom !. I can't even make myself a cup tea ! . Well I can make it (just) but can't carry it so the only wayto drink it is to stand in the kitchen balancing on one leg :).... not exactly relaxing. Unfortunately the boys are still abit too little to be trusted with a hot cup of tea. The dog sees the crutches as the "enemy" and barks every time I use them!.:rotfl::rotfl: Going to the loo is a major expedition involving hopping up 15 stairs and then down again:eek:. My "good" leg is very tired today so going even a short distance is very hard work. Its early days though so I am sure it will get much easier ;)

At the beginning of the week I was aiming to lose a bit of weight so that would not look fat at DSs communion ceremony next weekend. At the ceremony each child is called up individually to receive the communion and parents and siblings go up at the same time , pictures etc taken. This is all done in front of a large congregation. I am not very confident so this sort of filled me with dread ...... now it fills me with fear as I will have to hobble up on a pair of crutches :eek: . God only knows what i am going to wear .... don't care about having a "mumtum" anymore as my rather decorative leg attire will distract from that :rotfl::rotfl:. I must talk to the teacher so that I can reserve a pew near the front so that I don't have to "hop" too far.

Hope you are all ok . I really wish I had a laptop as It would be much easier to sit on sofa or in Bed ! and keep up with you guys!

    Love to you all

Sorry to hear that you are frustrated today..hope the day has improved for you.
I'm sure I'll be very frustrated when I can't be out and about after my op ..so you have my sympathy.
Good idea getting a pew at the front to makes things a bit easier.

Had to read and run earlier this week. Really sorry to hear about your alkle. But you know you will have to slow down now.
My foot has come out in sympathy for you with plantar fasciitis, known as policeman's heel, total agony first thing in the morning.
So I do hope you get to take it easy.

Did you tell us how you did it - I may have missed it? or was it a bit daft so you haven't told us out of embarrassment :o;)

Hope you're ok, you're bound to feel frustrated that you can't do anything, hope you adjust to your short term way of life soon. Is OH running around after you sufficiently? You can prod him with the crutches when he annoys you :D

    Hi IMD,

I am ok... just frustrated and tired . Hopping everywhere is hard work:D . As you know I am constantly worried about my income, juggling holidays and kids being ill.... I would love to think I could take it easy for 6 weeks .... but the simple truth is I can't ... I will have to somehow manage my 40 hrs per week... or bills don't get paid:(

    Things could be worse;)

Did you manage to wash your hair ok?

I don't see my problems as any worse than anybody elses...a problem is a problem no matter what it is.

Oh my goodness, something that we all do all the time!!

I'm surprised with the many variations of shoes I have that I haven't done something like that before now.
