Oh no - at least you can see some positives. The 6 week of not thinking about the car and the school run must be a small relief. Best wishes for your recovery.0

Oh poor you! And I broke my foot last week. Well, sort of - but was only in plaster for 2 days!! But 6 weeks off the school run must be a blessed relief (of sorts) for you . V difficult to manage work and home in plaster though......but no shops to tempt you! Any prospect of an accident claim?
Hope it's not too painful......

Unfortunately no prospect of an accident claim:( . It is more uncomfortable than painful at the moment. The swelling was so bad that the doctor actually thought that it was deformed:eek:. I was given morphine immediately which sent me into a panic as I was thinking operations etc but thankfully it was only a small break:).
I am really struggling to get the hang of the crutches .... it is exhausting.
Is your foot now better?

On the plus side DH can use my car for the next 6 weeks so his can can stay "broken " until then. Also as it will be the beginning of the school holidays when the plaster off... I won't have to do the school run until September
I am totally bored and very very teary.
How are you today, sweets ?

Sorry to hear that....must be really painful...hope that heals soon.
You can claim NI based ESA..it's only £65 per week ...but as long as you're NI contributions are up to date(think it's over the last two years) you can claim...might as well have it if you can.
I'm fine thanks...just plodding along day by day as you do...
Take care x0 -
