  • Ok answers to the questions if i left anything out please say. And i hope this makes things a bit clearer. He will be checking for the CCJs tomorrow and i'll put the results here then.

    Q1:

    Year 1 14th July 2002 - 31st march 2003
    Year 2 1st April 2003 - - 31st march 2004
    Year 3 1st April 2004 - 6th August 2004

Can your OH confirm that he lived at the house at those dates?

A: Right this might be a bit confusing. He had a house, then he met her, she started racking up debts and making him pay for everything, with his depression he did, she made him move in with her so he was paying bills on her house, all her debts in his name and she was taking money out of his account as soon as he was paid etc so he never had any money. During the times mentioned above he only spent a couple of nights at that address but he was still registered there for a couple of years. Which is why the council tax problem, ever since then he has always paid on time.

As for the £13,000 debt. It was a loan she made him take out for her friend who was starting a 'business' promised him he would get it back and more, the business never came to anything and he was left with her debt. So here goes:

Q2:Was this debt wholly in his name? Or joint names?

A: She made sure it was only in his name. Every debt she made sure was in his name and at the time being vulnerable and having depression drinking heavy it wasn't hard to manipulate and she's good at it.

Q3: When did he stop living with his ex?

A: march 2006 was when he stopped living with her.

Q4: When does he think this debt was taken out?

A: The debt was taken out in 2002 and he only ever made a few payments on it in the early days and nothing for years and years. We're hoping he won't find any CCJs on it when he checks tomorrow. But will come on and tell the results as soon as he does it.

Is it this site we're meant to do it from?
    http://www.trustonline.org.uk/search-yourself/

And is it just 'Section 1' he needs to do a check on?

The letter for the 13,000 debt is from Mackenzie Hall. The deadline for contacting them and making payment was yesterday so now we're stressing as to what they're going to do to us now about that. But hopefully with him checking the CCJ thing tomorrow it will show nothing for that.

And he's going to email the 'letter' to the bailiffs company in the morning to ask them for a break down of all charges etc.

I've shown him what everyone said on here and he's a bit more positive tonight before he went to bed. We just want this all dealt with and talking to everyone on here is making it seem like there might be light - so thank you all for that. I really don't know what i'd - we'd do if it wasn't for everyone that has helped and i appreciate each and everyone of you for your help. :A
