Well managed to catch up with all the goings on. The sun shone on my daugters wedding and I am now thinking of my two weeks in Sax (nr Alicante) leaving on the 7th July.

So pleased to see you back on line Mike and glad you are enjoying your 'new' home with your lovely boys. Who would have thought this would have been the outcome such a short time ago when your situation was so dire.

Maybe one day I will be in the area and able to pop in but in the meantime eagerly awaiting the showing on TV.

Hi June, A wedding is soooo much better when the sun shines. It was plonking it down for my first, but my second was the first day of a heat wave. I had 16 people sleeping in my house in Holland. Don't ask./...I had three bedrooms, the attic and the lounge floor and sofas covered....great fun when you can eat outside till late.

Where is Sax? I am going down to Orihuela, near Alicante on the 8th to stay with DonnyGal for a week. It will be hot I reckon.

Sax is about a 40 minute drive from Alicante Airport if you look at a map it is up from the airport where you will be to the left. Map reading was never my forte. Have a great time.

My husband works for the local council as a dustman and was talking to a man in a very similar situation, his builders took a cheque of 70k midway through and went. Never found or seen again and he is now footing the bill via loans and remortgage, he never fought for it and just got the work done using debt.
Brings it to light how many rogues are out there and just how people suffer like you have - but not many are strong enough to fight for what they deserve - you rock!!:D x

When your diary, challenge, thread etc reaches 4,500 to 5,000 posts, MSE have asked that you start a new/continuation thread.

Apparently this helps prevent excessive load on MSE's forum servers.

If you could do this and let me know, that would be great.

If, as it seems, that any new thread is likely to be more diary/chat, then can you please put it on the sub-board.

Sorry I've not been around much, there seems to be lots going on. To those of you who have emailed, thank you! I haven't forgotten and I will respond!
