I only discovered this thread last night (from niccatw, thanks soo much!). No, I haven't read it all (yet!) Have managed to read the first 20-odd pages, then the last 20 or so. Such a sad, amazing and inspirational thread.

Congratultaions Mike on what you have managed to achieve in the past three months :T So glad you will be getting your "new" house, at long last.

I will no doubt catch up eventually of all the twists and turns in the next few days.

Just wanted to say a few words today:

This thread shows that there are loads of people in the world (or at least here on MSE!) who are wonderful, helpful and supportive. It is these people who make the world a better place, and allow others to stand up to and recover from the devastation caused by the b*****ds of this world.

I'm toying with the idea of just driving. I used to do the drive to Leicester every weekend and it never bothered me... I can just pretend it a wee bit further down the road...

Only thing stopping me is that I won't be able to drink any champagne at the big reveal as I need to get back up the road on the Friday.... :think: :think: :think: :rotfl:

Thats a point, if anyone is near Stansted Airport somewhere and fancies either lift sharing, or anyone can share a cheap room somewhere then please PM me! I'm hoping to go down on 9-11th and 17/18th June. Haven't thought about the logistics of staying somewhere or anything yet.

it doesn't however look particularly cheap though - the cheapest is the Sunday night :mad:.
If anyone has any good ideas for cheap places to stay nearby I'd be interested as well.
I might be able to come down for the big reveal (or else the day after).

There appears to be a youth hostel in littlehampton - yha website and it seems to be 16 pounds per person per night - sharing in single sex rooms.
