Wow, finally finished reading this ENTIRE thread - it has taken me all weekend and most of today! Well worth it though, better than the novel I am ploughing through
What an amazing experience you have been through Mike, well done for keeping your chin up and a MASSIVE well done to your amazing cheerleading squad on here! Honestly, it gives you faith in human nature
Will be watching out for the makeover show (eep, how exciting!!), all the best!
I only discovered this thread last night (from niccatw, thanks soo much!). No, I haven't read it all (yet!) Have managed to read the first 20-odd pages, then the last 20 or so. Such a sad, amazing and inspirational thread.
Congratultaions Mike on what you have managed to achieve in the past three months :T So glad you will be getting your "new" house, at long last.
I will no doubt catch up eventually of all the twists and turns in the next few days.
Just wanted to say a few words today:
This thread shows that there are loads of people in the world (or at least here on MSE!) who are wonderful, helpful and supportive. It is these people who make the world a better place, and allow others to stand up to and recover from the devastation caused by the b*****ds of this world.
Thank you MSEers, you are wonderful!!:j :T

Awww, SB, now you're going to make me cry too
.
For all of us who need them! And, let's face it, you can't beat a big bear hug!
I'm toying with the idea of just driving. I used to do the drive to Leicester every weekend and it never bothered me... I can just pretend it a wee bit further down the road...
Only thing stopping me is that I won't be able to drink any champagne at the big reveal as I need to get back up the road on the Friday....   :rotfl:Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Thats a point, if anyone is near Stansted Airport somewhere and fancies either lift sharing, or anyone can share a cheap room somewhere then please PM me! I'm hoping to go down on 9-11th and 17/18th June. Haven't thought about the logistics of staying somewhere or anything yet.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

The travelodge search I did is here:
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/saver_search.php?changeWeek=1&locpostText=littlehampton
it doesn't however look particularly cheap though- the cheapest is the Sunday night .
If anyone has any good ideas for cheap places to stay nearby I'd be interested as well.
I might be able to come down for the big reveal (or else the day after).

I've just spoken to Christine. She is lovely
.
I think I might just drive... so any-one en route between Glasgow to the other end of the country, feel free to PM me! Bear in mind I've only a Fiesta though
Is there a youth hostel nearby we could take over for the duration? There's bound to be something we can work out!
Mike - how are you feeling? I'm feeling sick with nerves and excitement! I can only imagine you are feeling tenfold what I am.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

There appears to be a youth hostel in littlehampton - yha website and it seems to be 16 pounds per person per night - sharing in single sex rooms.
