Hijackthis help please. Computer just went into slowmo

Troubleatmill_2

Today, for no reason I can fathom my laptop is running really really slow.

Bootup can take about 15 mins. ( policy won't let me boot up in safe mode ).

CPU usage - can be 100% for the first 15 minutes of operation.

Crapcleaner says nothing odd in the registry.

Anyone see anything wrong / nasty?
