  • How long have you work for the employer?

    Is the employer insolvent?
I am an employment solicitor. However, my views should not be taken to be legal advice. It's difficult to give correct opinion based on the information given by posters.
  • i have worked there for just under 2 years and no the employer hasnt become insolvent
  • Were you employed by the company or are you an agency worker?

I was an employee, not agency or anything else, just a normal employee

Your'e not entitled to any redundancy pay unfortunately, you would have had to have been employed by the same company for 2 years to be eligiable for this.

You are entitled to be paid for any contractual notice ie 1 week or 1 month
and of course any accrued holiday pay.

I'm sorry to hear about it and would like to wish yu good look in finding another one soon.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • Sorry to hear about that. You should have some form of contract and may be able to take that issue forward. Try calling ACAS or your legal helpline (if you have insurance) about it.
  • It sounds like they did not follow a fair redundancy process and you may have a claim under a protective award. This does depend on the circumstances around your redundancy so I would suggest contacting ACAS or CAB..
