Credit Left on Closed account

Does anyone know if an energy company can hold on to a credit on a final bill if I dont contact them to chase it?

Hi Jubbs - No they cannot hold on to a Credit on a final bill, but they can be tardy in paying back the money - If you have been waiting longer than 4 weeks, chase them up by Email so you can keep a record of the chase
