Let's just auction everything like the Aussies do !A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.
It's a recession when your neighbour loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours.0 -

Debt_Free_Chick wrote:Mrs Sceptical here ..... perhaps the new HIPs are the first stage towards moving to a Scottish type system. The Government's view (not shared by many) is that the HIP gives you all the information up front. So perhaps their next argument will be "so no need to keep the current system - on offer, go straight to exchange"
You aren't far off track in the opinions of many EAs etc, but it isnt Scotland we think the government are doing it for....Its the EU...The homebuyers packs are expected to contain a lot of info that at present isnt known or investigated, prime example would be U values and levels of insulation in existing properties. EU are keen for statistics to be handed over by the government....And what is the cheapest and quickest way to gather the info...Of course to get us all to gather the data at the point of moving house.
As with most things, Im sure the skeptics are right and there is a gain for the government that they arent telling us.0 -
I understand that Scotland are looking to bring in a HIP type of system, but they are going to wait until they see how are system pans out before implementing changes.0
