good for u ,but what is the point in roasting the poor girl about it when its happened already ?0

No-one has considered the timeline. If her course finishes in May, and she has only just found that she is pregnant, then she will be a graduate before becoming a mother. So the point about being a student is irrelevant, as are the kind remarks about planning. The only real issue to consider is whether her employer is obliged or likely to give her any maternity benefits.0

My original comment was actually merely an observation but as I have been accused of 'roasting the poor girl'...
Perhaps if there was a bit more censure there would be less unplanned and unwanted children for the tax payer to keep. Perhaps people wouldn't be here stating that they "I am worry about my financial situation/benefits when the baby is due. Will I be eligible for any financial help/benefits?"
At the moment, someone pops up, having ‘found themselves’ pregnant and everyone says “Oh, no problem. You can claim this, this, this and this”. Hence another fatherless child is brought into this world. What on earth happened to planning and foresight? What happened to the ideal of planning to have a child? Saving for it? Making sure it would have everything it needs – like a stable, secure home, loving parents (in the plural), clothes and toys? Surely we owe it to our future generation to make sure they have the best start in life and not be conceived in a moment of passion with no thought for the consequences?
I am fed up with this idea that we are not allowed to suggest that falling pregnant ‘accidentally’ is a bad idea for all concerned – especially the poor infant. Or maybe I am just old fashioned.0 -

Me neither, it took me a year and half of trying hard whilst married and both in secure employment so am baffled at fools popping up saying they are single, pregnant by accident & what can they claim!
What a start to life with a parent who wont pay (if they were even asked to) the other struggling to make ends meet.
There is so much free education, advice and contraception out there that people should not be 'accidently pregnant'.0 -
i dnt agree with bringing children into the world just to go straight onto benefits, and have someone else pay for them .Im simply saying ,the girl is already pregnant whats the point in making comments about that .Unfortunately she got pregnant but now all she wants is some advice ,im sure she is well aware of her mistakes. Atleast shes at uni and working ,more than can be said for some ppl who get "accidentally pregnant" just to get benefits and their rent paid.0
