Awkward Bathroom

Hi guys

I'm looking at a flat with the following bathroom:

Can anyone see a better way of laying this out - the sash window is a big problem in terms of layout, as the bath/shower is very tightly squeezed in - the screen next to the bath is at a slightly odd angle as the doorframe is in the way.

Any ideas on how to improve it?

  • Hi

Not really. You are governed by the room width . Usually the fixed point is the wc as the soil connection can be a problem to move. Is this ground ,first floor ? The higher you go the more difficult access becomes.
If you can move walls then that's a different kettle of lobsters.....

This is on the top floor of a Victorian house. I think moving the left hand wall is a possibility - it just cuts into the bedroom a bit. I did wonder about somehow putting the bath next to the window...perhaps a freestanding one? But then there would be no option to have a combined bath/shower.

Looks fine to me as it is!
  • Hi,
It's better to have walls at the end and side of a bath, rather than curtains and screens.
Does it not work the way it is?
