High gas usage?

Yes I am. There are 6 digits in total, and I am ignoring the last two red ones.0

If you stand and watch your meter for 5 mins, is it reporting gas being used even when the appliances you mention are not on? That does sound like an awful lot of gas. I, too, live in a three-bedroom mid-terraced house, but have gas hob, oven, fire, ancient (Vulcan) boiler. I think we spent around £600 on gas last year. As it happens, my usage was actually higher than the supplier's estimates. My wife and I are real weeds, though, and have the central heating and gas fire on loads more than we really need over winter.
It does sound as though your usage is far higher than it should be for the appliances you state. I hope you get to the bottom of it.0
