Arrggghhhh!!! and top table help

My OH just commented that he wonders if you are a 'long lost' sister of his!! We are not having Top Table as just couldn't bear to listen to OH Dad's whinging all evening, about 'posh' food and having to wear a suit and 'why couldn't it be at the social club' and 'why are all the aunts and uncles not invited' We are using the 'La, la la I'm not listening' approach
We have 5 tables of 6 and on our table we are having best man, my brothers, out daughter and us!!

I can back you up on the whole 'not talking to family about wedding plans' thing... they have so many opinions which can totally stress you out. It's really hard to find a balance between including people and having them stress and interfere.

You dont need to invite every aunt/uncle/pet cat/neighbour/friend of family if you and your OH don't socialise with them. I would be inclined to go off somewhere and have a fantastic holiday and then get married on the beach and then come home - they can't argue then and you will have had a fantastic day without the stress of mum, dad, aunty nelly and the cat (I am being facetious about the cat but families seem to think that you should invite everyone who has ever spoken to you).
