Hello! my partner and I want to treat my mum to a break in London and want to make use of one of the many hotel/ticket offers. There are so many to choose from! despite spending a good few hours comparing different sites and deals I am still none the wiser really and was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions.
To be more specific, we would like to go down at the end of march and see phantom, money is tight for us so we are just thinking, train down from manchester, check into hotel, nice meal/drinks, theatre, off to bed. next day: breakfast, london bus tour, light lunch, bit more sightseeing, train home. (mum is 65 and has never been to london before! she will be like alice in wonderland!!!)
Any help suggestions very much appreciated!:)

You could try www.megabus.com 3 seats Mon 29/3 return Tues 30/3 £33 in total, plus 50p booking fee (60p if you want tickets in mobile text form).

Using the friends and family rate. Few hotels at £95 for a triple room for 29/3.
www.travelodge.co.uk (click on saver rooms) rooms for £49
You can source your tickets on places like ticketmaster, lastminute.com etc.0 -
Try superbreak as well as they often do some good hotel/ticket deals.0

Have a look at travel agents on the high street as packages are often offered pretty reasonably up here for London.0

thanks everyone for your help and advice, to update... I spent the best part of yesterday online, managed to get some prime seats for phantom (had to pay full price though as they were selling out for march fast!) tried the travelodge at covent garden but this was full so found a really lovely b&b on www.booking.com. Also managed to get reasonable train fares from manchester by following Martins tips and booking single trips.
Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread.0
