hi guys and girls
me and my wife have huge debt on cards me about 9k and her about 7k so total £16k but she was made redundent in october and we have been living the best we can and can not afford to keep up payments as 2 of her 3 cards wont pay the protection as she works part time now but did not when she took the cards out i only earn £18k per year and the only assetes i have i a flat witch i rent out we live in a council house but if i sell it i will ony get 50k max and i owe 42k on it after fees i will only see max 4k if im luckey i have tried loans but no one will lend to us any ideas because we are about to stop paying the min payment because we can not afford to meet it and the card companys dont want to help either (proberbly because i instructed cartel to wipe them but no joy yet in 14 months!!!) all help welcome PS SHE DOSE NOT GET ANY JOBSEEKERS EITHER AS SHE WORKED PART TIME

    I would suggest you write out a detailed income & expenditure account so you can see the full extent of your situation - you might want to post the results on the 'debt free wannabe' section of the forums for advice from the people there.     Then if you cannot meet your minimum payments on your unsecured debts you may want to seek advice from one of these free organisations http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2077631 who will advise you on the best way forward.
