Purpose of Iceland bonus card?

No idea what the point of it is. I've had one since it came out, after months of receiving nothing I emailed them, only to be told I wasn't registered anymore, so they sent a new card out, and once again I'm not registered. Pointless waste of time, money etc etc. Managed fine in iceland without it for long time now, hasn't stopped me getting good deals etc.....0

Agree it seems pointless. I'm very selective in what I buy from Iceland, mostly flavoured water and kippers. Milk is now cheaper at Farmstores (if you have one). All I've had is scratch cards for items I wouldn't buy (like all their frozen rubbish) or off tea but that brings it to a price higher than I can buy it elsewhere. I think Iceland need to get their act together.0

im sure its more of a marketing thing than anything else, although i did use a 25p scratch card off "i cannot believe its not butter" making it 75p insead of a £1.- not sure if i could of got it anywhere cheaper anyhows .
it amuses me that "Betfred" is supposed to be the "Bonus King", but is renowned for giving out no bonuses as well !"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170 -

Hi again all
LAST UPDATE
Today Iceland appeared to have received my email that I sent 3 weeks ago (As I hadn't heard from them I asked the same question here Again thanks to you all who replied me)
Even though Iceland still haven't replied my email, they sent me a FREE reusable bag voucher worth 75p to use when I spend £10
and
a remindar to swipe my Iceland bonus card because 1) I get a chance to win fantastic prizes every month 2) I can save with money off coupons and offers throughout the year and 3) if I spend £25 I can get my shopping delivered to my front door
Hope that helps anyone else who was wondering the purpose of an Iceland bonus card
Will I start using mine again, voucher worth 75p or not?
Nah!!
Zoe
PS: I think ManOnTheMoon's reply may have some truth in it

I have found my Iceland card useful for scrapping the ice from the windscreen! Or as a grouting tool.
