Barclays taking ages to refund me - what else can I do?

I got a career development loan with Barclays in the middle of 2009. I did the course it was paying for but unfortunately could not find a job straight after so applied for a postponement on the loan payments for 6 months. Which they accepted.

This now meant that I wasn't meant to pay anything back till the 28th of February 2010

During December 2009 my regular bank (Natwest) messed up the paperwork/standing order massively and sent 4 months worth of payment to Barclays. I rang them and rang Barclays. Barclays eventually said that they did not expect payment till the 28th of February so were happy to refund the 4 months worth of payment that Natwest had wrongly sent.

I made this first phone call on the 5th of January and was told it would take 7-10 working days. 10 days later I called back and was told it should have been sorted by now and they would now mark it as urgent so that hopefully it would take 2-3 days. A few days later I called back and no one could give me an answer as to why it hadn't been paid yet. I spoke to a supervisor who simply repeated everything I had already heard and said it would take 7-10 days again to sort. I then rang yesterday was told it hadn't been done yet and would be marked as urgent again with another 2/3 day deadline. I asked to be put through to the refund part of the office but was told that it wasn't a number the public could get access to.

So in summary: despite being told 7-10 days on the 5th of January this has already taken over 40 days and I'm pretty sure I'm no closer to getting my money back.

So my questions is what are my options here apart from ringing them every day and hassling them more?
