My lock was frozen this morning. Boiled a kettle, poured water into mug, placed key in mug whilst standing next to car and then placed key in door - opened first time and took about 2 mins which provided a bit of time for the windscreen to clear.
  • 3 in 1 spray oil with the long nozzle that you can poke in the lock is what I have found best on the wife's car

If its the door frozen, then spray furniture polish all around the door seal, it helps a little and wont rot the rubbers and if that dont work, pour WARM water not hot! all over the door seal that will break any ice, dont force it though, my mate managed to rip his rubber (ooh err missus) door seals doing that.
