Update: he isnt coming at all, he has thrown his toys out of the pram bigtime. Ah well that saves me £180 and my nephew will step in to dish out rings and sign the register

I have decided to go out with 5 of my female friends for dinner and drinks instead, very low key and no fuss.

It's a real shame it's come to that. Maybe he wasn't quite as good a mate as you'd originally thought.

I'm sure your night out and your wedding wont suffer in any way because of him not being there.

Me and OH are having a HAG do during the day, we're taking all my mates and his mates for an activity day of outdoor laser questing and having sausage and chips for dinner... it will be much more fun that doing out and getting drunk and we can all be together!

That sounds like a good day to me.....can I come too? :D

  • he he he...it really is fun, some friends of ours did the same thing a few years ago and we all said that we'd do it again, so as our he/stag do's are coming up we thought why not.. its on a paintball course but without the pain of being hit by paintballs (and i didn't fancy wearing my wedding dress and being covered in brusies on the wedding day!)
Now a married lady and loving it! Now..to clear that pesky mortgage!

My OH isn't having a stag do, but his friend (not the bestman even though for some reason he thinks he is .)keeps saying about it and how they can all go and get drunk, OH doesn't even drink lol.

    I think we're having a hag do, i'll ask OH tonight :D

Good job on saving £180 though! :)

Had been thinking that for a while now. :( But hey ho life goes on and with less than two weeks to go  I dont need the hassle of a grown man behaving like a spoilt kid.

The £180 saved will easily fund a meal out with my girls somewhere nice. Will mention the Hag do idea to my dearest as she was planning a meal with her friends.
  • I think me and my OH will just be having a hag do as well, most of his friends are spread all over the country and are jobless so have very little money to come out. Plus he isn't one for a "mans night out" with loads of beer.

  • My H2B is having 3

    1. A week in Mexico with some freinds (american & UK based friends)
    2. A weekend in europe somewhere with the friends (UK based who couldnt go to mexico)
    3. Saturday playing golf, Go Karting, Meal and loads of booze (people who couldnt go to the first to)

Everyone is invited to each one but he doesnt want people to feel left because of cost ( his dad is picking up the tab for the saturday one)
  • My fiance isn't having one either, nor am I having a hen. We're not having a best man or bridesmaids either.
