Home Emergency cover

Options
I'm insured through Shelia's Wheels. I've got the Home Emergency cover.

Now on day 5 without any heating or hot water. Running an electric heater at 40p per hr. Not had any hot water since Thursday.

Can't say I'm all that impressed with the 'Emergency' response!

Finally saw a gas engineer last night, needs parts, going to be another few days at least.

Going to go to the gym today, see if they'll let my 3 kids use the showers as they haven't has a proper one since Sunday.

So far. BIG SHAME.

Cheap though.

Should have gone to British Gas, more expensive maybe, but a huge stock of parts.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Well it was an option. £162 fixed fee repair.

Only paid about £110 (inc £45 cashback) for a year's building, contents, personal and emergency cover.

I guess you get what you pay for, I'm assuming your current cover does not include parts and labour to fix the problem.
Your overall package seems to be amazingly cheap.
