I don't think I've ever tried a bra on in a shop.
I do hate it when you buy 2 of the same bras but in different colours and one fits and the other doesn't."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hey Spud - if you want to go underwear shopping, I'm your woman!
It all depends on the look you are wanting - lift and separate, lift and push together, enlarge, reduce...etc...
The easiest thing to do is to get an idea of what size you want - it's worth being properly measured if you can, because the right sized bra can work wonders, but just use that as a guide because different makes can vary so much, and it needs to be comfortable, otherwise you wont want to wear it.
Then try a few different styles and just see which look you prefer. Take quite a fitted top with you if possible (not black) because then you can slip it on once you have found a bra that you like, and check for lumps and bumps that might not have been obvious when you were only wearing the bra.
Also, move around a bit in it, bend over, turn from side to side, make sure it doesn't move about, gape, or your boobs don't fall out!
And watch out for the 'double boob' effect - stand up straight, with shoulders back, and make sure they are not spilling out over the top of the cup, as you will get an unattractive dent, making you look like you have two boobs on each side! :rotfl:
Also think about what you will be wearing it with. If you wear a lot of black, then don't buy white, and vice versa, otherwise the bra will either show through your clothes, or the colour from your clothing could transfer to the white bra, making it look grey.
Bows, sequins, frills etc are all really pretty, but bear in mind they could show under a top that is made from smooth material.
And if you are buying something to wear under a specific top or dress, take it with you if you can. I bought my wedding bra and didn't try it on with the dress until the day. Wedding dress was low cut...bra cups came quite high...I spent the day with the cups folded down a couple of centimetres and safety pins holding them in place! :rotfl:
Err.....anything I've forgotten?

I'm going to view a new house on Saturday......I don't even like new houses and certinally can't afford to buy one...... but a friend of mine wants me to see it as it would be the answer to all our problems it seems.
Sometimes I'd like to be able to throw caution to the wind and say exactly what I want to say.
I sometimes wonder if my friends really understand me at all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
