Feedback policy unfair

As I have two more bidders who have not paid for their bids and not responded to my emails, how can I warn other bidders that they are non payers ? Why has Ebay sided with the buyer to the extent that you can't have equality in the Feedback policy? Malicious buyers can ruin a sellers feedback (I have had this happen by someone in the past who actually bragged to me he was going to enjoy ruining my feedback before he left it, even though I was trying to be reasonable and resolve whatever it was) But we cannot leave appropriate feedback when they don't pay. This has opened up a climate for buyers who have good feedback who can pick or choose if they can pay for an item or not while we incur fees and inconvenience. All we can do is open an unpaid item and they get a strike which is as good as useless.

The NPB process is much moe useful than a neg ever was. Just complete the NPB and if they are serial offendors they effectively ban themselves from ebay anyway.

I checked my logs yesterday and on one account I have over a dozen buyers blocked for having over 2 strikes, so it does work! I also love the pleading wimpish emails I occasionally get from buyers asking why they can't bid as they are perfect ebayers and really want my item, then when I check my log it seems that they have too many strikes and are no longer able to buy from most sellers...

  • You can set your seller requirements so people can't bid on your items if they have more than 2 (I think) non paying strikes.

I hate to discriminate against new buyers with 0 feedback but quite a few times it turns out they have 0 when they don't pay. I might have to set my account so people with more than 1 or 2 feedback can bid.

Soolin- I had a recent buyer who kept canceling bids (blamed it on his son) I banned him and I get an email asking if they can re-bid as it was his son's fault. I canceled his blacklisting only to later have another bid retracted for a different reason.

You can't set your limits to block bidders with positive feedback (which they all have anyway) you can't even block xero feedback buyers unless you block those who have not registered a card with ebay.

If you have added a buyer to your blocked list then they cannot rebid using that same ID.

  • I had someone moan to me the other day they were blocked from buying my item.

On checking back on my blocked buyer list, they were there, cannot remember why, biut I would have put them there for a reason. Did not make any further communication, it would have been problems no doubt.

Not sci fi/collectables by any chance as I also had someone contact me and they were actually in my blocked buyer list and I didn't recall ever having dealt with them before. When i checked them out though I noticed that they had a habit of leaving non positives for items in the same genre that I sold, really petty neutrals and negatives so I must have come across them at some point and just blocked them just in case.

I did not reply to their email.
