Dunno if the weekly specials vary between Scotland/England,but i picked up a leaflet the other day and there are going to be quite a few gardening items in Thursdays weekly specials,20litre bag of seed and potting compost with vermiculite and wetting agents for 99p a bag,3 or 4 tier plastic greenhouse thingy for £14.99(tho it looks very similar to the one in wilkinson for £12)theres also a mini cold frame, seeds and bulbs, and plastic seed trays etc,im new to all this, but thought it may be worth a look.

I bought 4 fruit trees for my allotment today for £3.99 each. They had a lot to choose from.
I saw: Morello cherry, Conference pear, another pear, Golden Delicious apple, Braeburn apple, Bramley apple, plum, and another type of dessert cherry. There were also lemon trees with large fruits on and kumquot (sp?) too.

I went today and bought 5 fruit trees (2 different cherry, 2 different plum and 1 apple), 12 seedling herbs (6 french style and 6 italian style), 5 garlic bulbs, 20 shallot bulbs, 8 strawberry plants plus 8 packets of seeds (runner bean, pea, leek, lettuce, carrot, tomato, spring onion and beetroot), a bag of compost plus a 2m capillary matting role...........for under £40 :j:j:j0

Has anyone seen any Victoria Plum trees in Aldi? My local didn't have any this evening (only plum variety was President) and I am wondering whether it is worth calling at a different ALDI tomorrow...0
