House Prices Going Crazy Again

I would have thought your neck of the woods is the place to move to if house prices have been slashed by 40%!!!!! Unless they were very expensive prior to that I would imagine there's some lovely properties for sale at very affordable prices?
Off to have a look on RightMove (not moving, but just curious about what might be possible)!0 -
Wow - a ten second search has turned up these:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-28582061.html?pageNumber=2&backToListURL=%2Fproperty-for-sale%2FNorthern-Ireland.html%3Findex%3D10
This one looks particularly good at first glance - only 150k for this!!!!!???!!!

They may have fallen 40% but you need to think about the price they were at the height of the boom0 -

I agree they are nice houses. Location is no good for me though0 -
Prices definately have shot up again. I think people heard the words, we have just come out of recession, so they think we revert right back to 2007 and start charging those prices again.
Its shocking to see what people are asking for their propertys. I hope they dont sell them and stop being so stupid and trying to get everyone to inflate there asking prices.0 -

That second one I'd seriously consider if I was looking to release a bit of cash from my home. It *looks* lovely and a huge garden too. We're just over the water in the West coast of Scotland - not far from the ferry to Ireleand! I was blown away by the price I got my house for but that one (on paper at least) beats anything I've seen yet. What's the area like do you know?
For anyone that's in a position to move anywhere I expect there's some cracking bargains available still!0 -
Where is this magical place you speak of? Perhaps we should all move there
Ummm London...?
But please don't tell anyone. It's a quiet little village currently and we don't want the hordes descending.
.....Oh No! I just looked out the Window.....:eek:Go round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger0 -

Be 165k in reality wouldn't it? Think the offer system is something like 10% over asking price!?
But still, LOT of house for the money. Scotland has always had much much cheaper housing than elsewhere though.0 -

Scotland, geography not your strong suit ?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
