Thanks for that link BBG, I've never heard of that one but I've just had a good browse there and like it so much that I've opened a shop straight away.
I've also opened a Folksy shop a couple of days ago, so with luck I might sell something from one or the other!
Nancypearl, I absolutely agree with you, people just don't have any concept of the value of hand made things. I've made jewellery for years and sold it at craft fairs, but I get so demoralised when someone picks up a pearl and amethyst necklace and says something like 'they've got plastic ones like that in Asda for £2.99' that I hardly ever bother now. To be honest I make things because I think I would go mad if I didn't, and at least selling online I don't have to listen to comments like that. I just stick with the occasional selling party for like-minded friends who are happy to pay a little more for something individual made by hand from beautiful materials.
I've been branching out lately, sewing, knitting and crocheting, so Folksy and Misi are a good way to find out what will sell and how much for. Wish me luck!Oh dear, here we go again.0
