Barclays home insurance price challenge

Is there any way to get the price match and qualify for Quidco cashback?

I'm assuming you have to phone and get price match agreed before you qualify for the £50 offer.

My current insurance policy started on 29th November. An online quote shows Barclays to be more expensive by around £30.

Sites such as Quidco only do cashback for online transactions, and not those done over the phone. Is it possible to accept the quote online, then request a price match to also get Quidco payment? I can't find details of how long your 'renewal' quote is valid for, so mine might be too late.

Any advice appreciated.

The only thing you could try is buying online and then phoning them up to price match after you have already bought and play dumb in not realising that you had to phone them before buying.... cause they may just cancel the policy and resell it to you over the phone in which case you probably lose the affiliate payment.

Thanks, I may give that a try - will still be better off by £20 at the end of the day.

I found that the barclays lot were much cheaper than any other quotes I got. I checked on moneysupermarket.com and lots of cheap quotes but hey "This is if you have 5 years no claims discount" at the end (even thought I already said I didn't have 5 years ncd). Barclays gave me a quote at £127 which with £55 cashback makes them the cheapest for me so far. I'm still searching but this quidco site is really saving me some money!
