50"Sony Bravia LCD TV £699+ VAT AT MAKRO

Options
SONY 50" BRAVIA LCD REAR PROJECTION TV £699.99 + VAT AT MAKRO FROM 19/07/06

I have just recently bought this TV from John Lewis and got it price matched for £927.00, with 5 year free warranty. Its a brill TV, clear picture etc and HD ready!!

From Makro on this offer it will cost £821.00, with the standard 1 yr manufacturers guarantee. John Lewis say that they will not price match Makro as it is a wholesaler, but for the extra 100 quid i've got a five year warranty and peace of mind.

The model No. is Sony KDFE50a12U

Sorry I can't figure out how to do the Makro Link????
Regards

Sandy

Apart from being physically large, you really need to look at the picure on any rear projection TV before you buy.

Sitting directly in front of, and at the same height, of the screen gives an acceptable picture. At an angle to the screen it is less so.

It is rear projection, and it is LCD. The title (which people see when scanning the forum) is misleading, mainly because it says the price is 699 when it isn't, it's 699 + VAT

Only when someone has clicked on the link do they discover that it's rear projection and it's more expensive than the title implies
Thanks to all who post constructively.

I am sorry if this is misleading, but I have put in my post that the cost is £699.99 + VAT which means VAT to be added!!!
I have also caluclated with my own brain that the total price works out at £821 ish!!

It only allows you to put limited information in the title, so therefore MSE readers can read the full post and make their own minds up. I thought I'd spotted a bargain, if you are not interested then.............

50" Sony Bravia LCD RPTV. £821 at Makro.

Not difficult to get all the necessary details in the thread title. Good spot, btw!

    Do I get a cigar?

PS In fact, you can also get 50" Sony Bravia Rear Projection LCD TV £821 at Makro to fit in as well...
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!
