Phone sockets in a new house

i recently moved into a new build and signed up to BT. They didnt actually visit the property but i was connected as promised on the due date and the phone & internet have been fine plugged into the phone socket in our lounge.

However we also have phone sockets in our bedroom and kitchen, and when i try to connect to them they are not working, just dead. Is the fault BT or the house company? I wasnt sure who to call? I am guessing its probably the home company who havent wired correctly?

The extension sockets are not BTOpenreach's responsibilty, if the builder is still on site get them back to look at the wiring, if you report it to BT then you may well get charged for the visit, if the line is ok at the master socket but not at the extension sockets then its obvious the problem isnt on the network back towards the exchange and thats all Openreach are responsible for, BT didnt visit the property but they did pay the builder to install BT kit to a set standard

Working for Sky,I was connecting up phone extensions in new builds, not connected by BT or the contractor.More often then not the builder's sparks dont connect them.

I moved into a new house, sounds similar to yours, we have a phone socket upstairs, in the lounge and in the hall, the one in the hall worked fine but the other two didnt. I had previously helped my dad with telephone engineering stuff so decided to take a peek myself, I was amazed that they wernt wired up at all, but very simple to wire up just google telephone wires

I don't think the builders usually connect them? They leave the internal wiring unconnected until after BT have activated the line.
