Radish and Cialilerin - you feel my pain!

We have spent the day clearing, fighting, moving, fighting, throwing, fighting....................

The understairs is now cleared..............the worktop is covered in 'bits' I am working through............but DH is done, he can take no more.

He gave out to me earlier that he wouldn't be assed sorting through boxes to take out screws, fuses (we have squillions of those), spanners etc. He said he would just take out what he could see and bin the rest. This is from the man who says I throw everything out!!!

Tip: A few years ago I moved a load of stuff to a secret location.........waited 6 mths and dumped the lot, he is yet to notice.

    Woo - your back! Welcome!

I am thinking "secret location" possible the boot of my car, so I can throw it away without him knowing :)

I have already warned him that when we live together, I leave for work after him and work near a tip :)

Going to try and do some sorting out tomorrow

But well done Red for what you managed today :T

Red that's devious but wonderfully crafty! I sometimes 'recycle' things of OH's for him. The thing that drives me nuts the most is that he brings home catalogues and if he bothers to actually take them out of MY car then they just get left somewhere never to be opened or used.
  • Oh yeah we have a load of those too LT!

When I send him to the tip, he goes through everything when he gets there - he has brought back the same horrible knackered jacket FOUR times!

I am not done yet but tomorrow is not half as bad as today, tomorrow is just about putting stuff away!

  • We can now get into our office (computer room as DH calls it), understairs tardis and broom cupboard.

I have spent 5 years getting all the tools, bolts, screws, and other 'very important stuff' to one location..........and now its all sorted and hey presto there is room to see it too. I am sure another 20% of it could go but DH would most likely die of lonliness!

I am so very chuffed with getting this job done..........it was major and only really possible because we brought our dining table and chairs to my mothers for Xmas (to sit on as opposed to not wanting to leave it at home, you understand) and it's not back yet. Thus I had a big space to put everything in while I sorted.

Now we are left with under the eves but you may remember I forced DH into sorting those during the summer...............so it is relatively tidy and I would think there isn't alot left that isn't essential to him (I still call it rubbish)

SIL is with other BIL until tomorrow night, we will go there for dinner and bring her and her son back with us. She is going to help me sort the bakery, another MAJOR job but she is a hyper cleaner and loves it so I am thinking 2 days and it will be perfect and we will then know EXACT stock levels and be able to use it ALL up. Getting the bakery sorted will allow me to keep on top of it (not cleaning it, the bakers do that) but keeping it organised and creating space....DH can't/won't do that! I am sure that if it is organised and in order the bakers will work better and more efficently and thus save money!

I have promised DH when his sister leaves on Tuesday he can sit on his behind and do whatever he likes for the rest of our hols - until 10/1/11 as he keeps reminding me he is on holiday..........rumour has it so am I!!
