    Hope your heating is back on as it's no fun being cold.Don't know anything about oil fired heating and how much it should use.

    Heating fixed........it appears that some water got into oil pump and froze overnight!

    Amazingly they only charged £30, and since they were here for an hour on a Saturday I am very pleased, so that plus the £30 DH paid for emergency oil means £60 in total and it could have been alot worse.

    Also just for those who do have oil heating, he said the best way to have it on this time of year is at the lowest setting 24/7 - which guarentee's pipes wont burst, which, as he correctly pointed out would cost alot more than to repair than the cost of the oil!

    Great news on the heating that must mean you will be coming home to a warm house every day now.

    hell no, it was too cold to leave the living room, I haven't even washed a dish today.

    Took all the paperwork into their and managed to get loads sorted so thats the upside of today!

    Woke up this morning to a lovely toasty warm house - delightful!

    Busy day ahead, off to town to Christmas market, out for tea and then Peter Kay- my brother bought us tickets last year for Xmas!! Looking forward to it alot.
