(Is medical free in NZ?)
The answer is it depends. Visits to the Dr's are $10 or $30 depending on the length of the appt! Presciptions also vary in price depending on what you are getting, and how much subsidy the govt gives for the medication. Children get charged for both of these which is a major negative. Indeed $180 for epipen for DS1 is eyewatering when it is free in the UK. And it has to be updated every year as well:eek:.
On the other hand most hospital stuff is free but we had to prove that DS2 was dual nationality Australian/British when he went in for observations one time, otherwise we would have had to pay! It also cost $80 but the ambulance ride into the hospital even for him as a child.
On the other hand presciprtions which are for chronic conditions, eg inhalers for asthma, have two repeats built into the $24 price, so you get 3 inhalers for that price, which makes it cheaper overall for my meds, but still more expensive for DS1's cos it would be free in the UK.
Many people have med insurance here. And most of what I have put above you can claim back. But you have to be organised to do it, as you 'only' lol have a year, and guess who forgets alot:o!
And yes the appt went fine by the way. DS2 has a aneurisis in the day time problem, and they wanted to check the internals on an ultrasound, so he got to see his kidneys and bladder. Of course he was fascinated!
cheers

oops to FD giving up on you. How can that work, that you are paying it back on a lower interest rate than what they were charging you to keep it open *shrugs in confusion*I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

I can totally understand how you could forget - MS is very difficult to remember never mind the whole reclaiming of perscriptions - I would be a disaster!!
Yes you are right re FD - I am paying them less than I would have paid if the account had of stayed open!!! So I should be happy but feel a little down about it! Just being nostalgic I think!
Today I am skint, brassac, without money..........and will be until Wednesday, so thats not too bad!!
An item on the local news re Absurd&Ludicrous - 94p o/d = £185 charges!!!!! Priceless.
They have yet to tell me my sort code has changed on my account and so two DDM's I sent TWO months ago have still not been applied!!! I am patiently waiting to hear from them - totally absurd customer service.
Hypno - you are right! Never to early to plan and I am studiously working on next years budget.................except I don't live in No 11!!!!!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Wednesday will be here before you know it, it's always hard in the run up to payday.
Chin up you can do this, are the budgets for the business or personal debt ?MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
EST DFD JAN 2021 (that needs to change)
NOW JAN 2019 (that still needs to change)0 -
The budgets are for personal, the business debt will be cleared by Christmas.
Well cleared meaning that £4000 is already being paid off each month and I have budgeted for that, we have not added to business debt so the once the figure in my signature gets to £4000 I am good to go...as then its just down to running costs.
Personal budget is what I am working on but I need to add in o/ds, which sadly total £4500, but have now agreed to clear one at £50 per month. So if I add this in from January I should owe £40k and I am working towards a budget of clearing £20k in 2011 which I feel is doable and without making us as broke as we have been this last few months.
I have managed to keep up min payments (just) and pay £6.5k off business debt in 5 months so it should be possible to meet that target, which means I can clear last £20k in 2012. Originial debt free date was March 2013 and I should be clear by Dec 2012 at the latest.LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
