LOL we Irish are very good at emigrating - we just bring all our traditions with us. Never was I more Irlsh than when I lived in New York!

I know someone who lived in New York who said it was mad in that respect as well. Don't they dye the river green on St. Pat's day or something?

    Mad! ;)

Yeah they do in Boston, and St Patricks parade has more people watching it that live in Ireland.

30 million people claim to be Irish, as a friend of mine said, I hope they all don't come home at once, the country will sink!

Yeah and we need to stop emigrating, which I believe since 'the bust', the numbers are creeping back up again!

For a very small country, we certainly have made our mark on the world, and not always in a good way!

More of the same today I think but I do need to clean the house, why does DH never see dirt?

Alas, it's the 'brain drain' caused by finances. It even happens over here: most of my friends have gone to live in London/surrounding areas as there are generally more career opportunities down there.

In my '£100 grocery challenge' I spent anothe £20 today (on washing powder, dog food, tea, coffee and other non-perisable bits) so that £50 spent - think we should be fine as lots of meat in freezer, so fingers crossed.

Ran out of gas for cooker today - another £23 to find now - gggggggrrrrrrrrr it never stops!
