Lloyds charges question

I was wondering can a bank charge you unplanned overdraft fees, when the banks own charges have put you over your limit.
Last month example -
My account has a £200 overdraft limit, at the end of the business day i was £197 overdrawn
The next day £165 had been charged to my account so my balance was £362 overdrawn
So because of these charges i have been charged again, this time £150 for the month.

So where do i stand, it seems unfair that i'm paying charges for charges.

Thanks

  • are you on the 1/2/5 a day overdraft usage fee system? have you got a current account? were the £165 fees charged for dec and debited at the end of jan?
  • Ok it's the Select current account, The charges are £15 monthly fee, plus daily fees of £15 a day, up to 10 days max.
Decembers charges were debited on the 1st Feb.

    thanks

Nope, you won't get further charges on unplanned overdraft fee charges.
