Yes you can. It will work no problem.
Chargers only use about 12v so the voltage difference will make no difference. Added to the fact ive used all sorts of chargers and stuff in America vice versa and not once had an issue. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -

Due to the way in which many modern phone chargers operate, there is a possibility you may be able to use it in the US with an adapter.
Have a close look at your charger for the details of the input & output voltage (could even be printed between the pins that go into the mains plug).
For example, mine says
Input voltage 100-250V~ / 50-60Hz
US mains is 110V, and 60 Hz.
Therefore, that lies within the ranges stated & would work in the US happily with just an adapter. If your adapter is, say, 200-240V only, or 50Hz only, then it may well not work.
If yours won't work you'd probably be able to pick one up cheap over there in Walmart or somewhere. Failing that, if you're driving too, have you got a car charger you could use instead (or pick up over there)?0 -
If it doesn't and you're stopping in a hotel ask at the front desk. They'll always have a huge box of phone chargers that have been left by guests.
Happened to me twice and twice i've managed to borrow a Nokia charger0 -
Mr Lahey is spot on - you won't have any troubles.
I've yet to find a device which doesn't plug in and work in the USA. I think it's because everything is made in the far east and they make the devices compatible with multiple voltage supply to keep costs down.
I travel to the US a lot and have US plugs for most of the devices I take with me (rather than carry the UK plug *and* a US adaptor) - eg for my laptop, phone etc.Legal team on standby0 -
